The Weepies
The Weepies, a folk-pop duo comprised of Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, two singer/guitarists who had already released solo material, met at Tannen's concert in Boston while he was supporting his debut, Big Seņorita. Mutual admirers, they started writing songs together immediately, and soon the Weepies were born. In 2003 they issued the eight-song Happiness, and two years later were signed to Nettwerk. In December 2005 the label digitally pre-released Say I Am You, which was recorded in a rented cottage in Pasadena, CA, and the album version came out in March 2006. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
