Richie Sambora Arrested For DUI
Richie Sambora reportedly was arrested just before 11 p.m. Tuesday (3/25) for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The Bon Jovi guitarist was arrested in Laguna Beach, CA, after an officer noticed his black Hummer weaving in traffic lanes, according to the Associated Press.
Sambora, who was given field sobriety tests, was arrested without incident, booked at the Laguna Beach jail and released at 4 a.m.
Two children--Sambora's daughter and another young girl--plus an adult woman reportedly were passengers in the car. The 48-year-old Sambora, who entered a 30-day alcohol rehab facility in Los Angeles last spring, could face an additional charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Heather Locklear, the mother of Sambora's daughter, reportedly allowed the female passenger in the car drive her daughter home.
Sambora is scheduled to appear before a judge May 7 to answer the misdemeanor DUI charge.
