Sonny Landreth [ tickets ]'s upcoming release, "From the Reach," will feature several guest artists including Eric Clapton [ tickets ], Mark Knopfler [ tickets ], Dr. John [ tickets ], Jimmy Buffett [ tickets ], Vince Gill [ tickets ], Robben Ford [ tickets ] and Eric Johnson [ tickets ].

In a statement, Landreth said, "I've been waiting to make this kind of record for a long time--to do an entire album that would feature some of my favorite players as special guests." Not wanting to produce "another cliched duets" album, Landreth wrote songs specifically for each of the artists.

Landreth will spend most of the spring and summer touring. He'll play several festivals, including Houston's International Festival, New Orleans' Jazz and Heritage Festival, Festival Internationale de Louisiana, Metro Fountain Blues Festival in San Jose, Cicso Systems Blues Festival in Ottawa and the Montreal Jazz Festival, among others.
