Sean Combs Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

May 1, 2008 01:05 PM
Sean "Diddy" Combs will be honored May 2 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a tribute for his life-long contribution of both public and peer appreciation in the entertainment industry, according to a press release. While many know Combs as a musical artist and producer, as well as entrepreneur, he has added acting both on stage and in film to his lengthy resume.

Combs began his acting career in the film "Made," and went on to receive critical acclaim for his supporting role in "Monster's Ball." He also debuted on Broadway in the lead role of Walter Lee, Jr., in the play "A Raisin in the Sun," which earned four Tony Award nominations. Combs also stars in and executive produced a three-hour television movie version of "A Raisin in the Sun," along with the cast of the Broadway revival, including Tony Award winners Phylicia Rashad and Audra McDonald.

"A Raisin in the Sun" aired February 25 on ABC and will be available on DVD May 14.
