Tom Waits has announced dates for a rare summer outing, dubbed the "Glitter and Doom" tour. The 13-city summer trek is set to kick off June 17 in Phoenix and canvas the Southern half of the US through mid-July.

Modest Mouse has lined up a late-spring/early summer schedule that includes a number of headlining shows worked into and around a run of support dates for R.E.M. From late May through mid-June, the alt-rockers will open for R.E.M., then continue on the tour trail with headlining performances scheduled through early July.

Rascal Flatts have added more than a dozen shows to their "Bob That Head Tour" ahead of its June 13 launch. The guys are scheduled to visit more than 30 US cities from the Midwest to the East Coast through late September, with a stop in Ontario along the way.

Huey Lewis & The News are keeping a steady pace on the road through summer with a tour set to crisscross the US beginning May 10 in Leesburg, VA. Dates around the country are scheduled though late September.

The Vegoose festival, typically held in Las Vegas during the Halloween season, has been tabled for 2008. Event producers reportedly said the event has not been permanently canceled and may resurface in a different configuration.
