T.I. Readies New Album

May 8, 2008 11:05 AM
T.I. 's new album, "Paper Trail," is set to be released in stores and at digital retailers Aug. 12. The album features the lead-off single "No Matter What," which is streaming at the rapper's MySpace page and can be purchased at the Atlantic Records Media store, according to a press release.

The Grammy Award-winning performer, who recently was sentenced to a year in prison on weapons charges, appeared on BET News yesterday (5/7) in his first televised interview since his legal ordeal. Appearing in front of a group of at-risk students, T.I. answered questions about how being arrested has changed his life. "I must be a man and stand up and accept responsibility," T.I. said. "I exercised extremely poor judgment, and for that, I must be willing to pay whatever price that comes before me."

T.I. also will be staring in New Line's forthcoming film "For Sale," and will make a cameo appearance on the new season of HBO's "Entourage."
