Indie electro-rockers !!! [ tickets ] have lined up a few club and smalltheater dates this fall to preview material from the band's forthcoming studio album.

The band--which is pronounced "chk chk chk," or "any sound repeated three times," according to the group's MySpace pagewill play a few East Coast dates starting Sept. 3 in Cambridge, MA, before heading to the opposite coast for several additional shows. The schedule includes an Oct. 3 slot at Austin, TX's Austin City Limits Festival. Dates are below.

According to the band's label, Warp Records, !!! is putting the finishing touches on its new album in a New York studio, following recording sessions in Berlin and California. A release date has not yet been set .

The new full-length will follow "Myth Takes," the band's third album, which surfaced in 2007. Recorded in Nashville, th album was the group's first with new drummer Jerry Fuchs, who replaced drummer/guitarist John Pugh, who left the band the previous year.

!!! formed in the mid-'90s in Sacramento, CA, combining members of two of the town's hardcore punk bands--Popesmashers and Black Liquorice--into a new project that reflected the new band's desire to "play music in the vein of the stuff they were dancing to," according to the group's online bio. The act--members of which are now based in Sacramento, New York City, and Portland, OR--released its self-titled debut album in 2001.
