A new album that the late Johnny Cash recorded in the months leading up to his 2003 death is scheduled to hit stores on July 4.
Dubbed "American V: A Hundred Highways," the Rick Rubin-produced set will include the last song Cash ever wrote, titled "Like the 309," according to a press release.
"I think that 'American V' may be my favorite of all of the albums in the 'American' series," Rubin said in a statement. "It's different from the others, it has a much different character. I think that this is as strong an album as Johnny ever made."
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards remained hospitalized in New Zealand Monday (5/1) due to a concussion he suffered in a fall from a palm tree.
Richards reportedly fell while picking coconuts during a vacation in Fiji, according to news reports from Australia and New Zealand.
The Stones issued a statement confirming that Richards suffered "a mild concussion" in Fiji, but didn't delve into specifics.
"Following treatment locally and as a precautionary measure, he flew to a hospital [in Auckland, New Zealand] accompanied by his wife, Patti, for observation," said Stones' publicist Fran Curtis.
The statement added that, "Doctors say Keith is making a speedy recovery."
The Napster website was re-launched Monday (5/1) as a site that allows users to search for and listen to any track in its 2 million-song library up to five times for free.
Users must register for the service using a valid e-mail address.
Pete Doherty of the British rock band Babyshambles reportedly was arrested Saturday (4/29) after police investigated a photo in British tabloid The Sun that the newspaper said showed him injecting drugs into an unconscious female fan's arm.
"This morning a man aged 27 years old was arrested on a street in an east London borough on suspicion of administering a noxious substance recklessly," a police spokesperson said, according to Reuters. "He is in custody at the police station and inquiries continue."
Doherty, who has been arrested on a string of drug-related charges in recent weeks, was later released on bail.
