The family of Keith Bender--the man police believe was shot and killed by D12's Proof last month, before Proof was himself shot and killed--reportedly has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Proof's estate.
According to Detroit news reports, the suit alleges that Proof--whose real name was Deshaun Holton--"violently assaulted and battered [Bender], culminating with the infliction of a gunshot injury that caused the death of Mr. Bender."
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards reportedly has been released from an Auckland, New Zealand, hospital, where he was admitted for observation last week after suffering a concussion.
According to news reports in Australia and New Zealand, a spokesperson for the hospital confirmed Richards' release on Tuesday (5/2).
Richards reportedly fell while picking coconuts during a vacation in Fiji, according to news reports from Australia and New Zealand--though some reports said that he was injured in an accident on a personal watercraft.
Indie-blues duo The Black Keys has been tapped to open Radiohead's upcoming performancs in Montreal, New York City and Chicago.
Chip Taylor, best known as the writer of "Wild Thing" and "Angel of the Morning," will release his first album in six years July 18.
The two-CD set will contain two distinct albums: "Unglorious Hallelujah" and "Red Red Rose and Other Songs of Love, Pain Destruction"
Both discs were performed with the same band, including guitarist John Platania, drummer Anton Fig ("Late Show with David Letterman"), and his recording partner of recent years, Carrie Rodriguez, on backing vocals.
