Death Cab for Cutie keeps rolling
Fresh off a lengthy spring trek with pop-rockers Franz Ferdinand, Seattle indie-pop quartet Death Cab for Cutie is mapping out its tour plans through the summer.
The group's schedule, which is expected to grow, currently includes appearances at a mix of major festivals--including Washington state's Sasquatch! fest and Tennessee's Bonnaroo--and headlining shows.
Tours of Europe and Australia are also planned; details are posted at Death Cab for Cutie 's website
Mates of State , a San Francisco-based husband/wife duo, is scheduled to support on all of Death Cab's headlining dates. Alt-rockers Spoon will be on the bill in some cities as well. Details are in the itinerary below.
Death Cab is still touring behind its 2005 album, "Plans," which earned gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping more than a half-million copies in the US. The band recently revealed--one at a time on its website--videos it commissioned of all the tracks from "Plans."
A DVD containing all clips from the series, entitled "Directions," hit stores last month.
