The Futureheads team up with The French Kicks for June tour

Indie rockers The Futureheads [ tickets ] and The French Kicks [ tickets ] will team up for a short tour in June as both bands prepare for new album releases.

The Futureheads' second album, "News and Tributes," is due in stores June 13, just after the 11-city co-headling tour gets underway with a June 15 show in Vancouver, British Columbia. The British band released its self-titled debut in 2004.

The New York-based French Kicks recently completed studio work on their third album, "Ten Thousand." The band is looking at a July 18 release date for the disc.

The two bands will co-mingle their tours through a July 1 appearance in Boston, after which The Futureheads will split off their own headlining schedule, starting with a July 25 date in Philadelphia.

"Skip to the End," the first single from "News and Tributes," is set to hit stores in the UK May 22, with a US release following two weeks later.
