Neko Case sets up another 'Flood' of tour dates

Neko Case has mapped out a new North American touring slate that opens in June, after the alt-country singer/songwriter returns from her just-ended European trek supporting her latest CD, "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood."

Case--primarily a solo artist who spent much of last year on the road with her ongoing side gig, The New Pornographers, as that group backed its 2005 release, "Twin Cinema"--will tackle a slot at Saturday's (5/27) Sasquatch festival in George, WA, before taking a two week breather and then resurfacing for a June 15 show in Telluride, CO.

The singer ended her European run Wednesday (5/24) in London, a stretch that took her through 10 countries in two weeks. Case's complete European itinerary can be found on her website.

Case will stick close to the West Coast on her upcoming outing, with six shows in California, including a three-night stand beginning June 23 in San Francisco. The last eight concerts will find the singer back in her native Canada, starting with a July 2 date in Vancouver, British Columbia.

"Fox Confessor Brings the Flood" is Case's fourth set of studio material since her 1997 debut, "The Virginian." The new album, produced by Case with Darryl Neudorf, was recorded in Tucson, AZ, with musical assistance from members of Calexico, The Sadies and Giant Sand, among others.
