Red Hot Chili Peppers add hometown show
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have finally penciled a Los Angeles-area performance into the itinerary for their upcoming tour, which supports the L.A.-based group's recently released double album, "Stadium Arcadium."
The veteran alt/funk rockers will hit the stage at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood on Aug. 31 for a show that is now scheduled to cap their August run through the West.
Members of the group's official fan club will have access to a ticket presale scheduled to run May 31-June 2. More information is available at the band's website. An on-sale date for the general public has not yet been announced.
Tickets for the rest of the tour's confirmed stops are already on sale. The itinerary is included below.
Released earlier this month, "Stadium Arcadium" is the Chili Peppers' follow-up to 2002's "By the Way." The new disc moved about 442,000 copies during its first week in stores, which earned the group its first No. 1 album on The Billboard 200 album chart. The disc currently is holding on to that spot for the second consecutive week.
Helping fuel sales of "Stadium Arcadium" is lead-off single "Dani California," the music video for which is streaming at the Chili Peppers' website.
