Snow Patrol reschedules postponed dates
British rockers Snow Patrol have scheduled make-up dates for most of the shows they postponed early in June following the "severe throat condition" suffered by frontman Gary Lightbody.
All of the band's shows originally scheduled for June have been moved to September, with the exception of the group's Seattle date, which has been canceled entirely. The band's Aug. 15 show in Boston is the lone date that remains unaffected by the rescheduling.
Venues have changed for some shows, but the band will honor all tickets purchased for the original dates in June. Snow Patrol's complete rescheduled itinerary is shown below.
The group had originally intended only to reshuffle a few June shows, but after Lightbody received a second medical opinion, the decision was made to shelve the entire month of June.
"I had another check up yesterday and my little friends are still hanging on for dear life and my throat looks raw apparently," Lightbody said in a press release initially announcing the postponements. "To be honest I still find it hard to look at it long enough to see what the doc is getting at. I believe her though.
The band is supporting its fourth studio album, "Eyes Open," which hit stores May 9.
