The first single from the album, titled "Mighty O," marks the first track on which duo members Andre 3000 and Big Boi rhyme together since 2000.
The "Idlewild" film is scheduled to open Aug. 25. It stars OutKast, along with Ving Rhames, Terrence Howard, Patti LaBelle, Malinda Williams, Macy Gray, Ben Vereen and Cicely Tyson.
A career-spanning, 18-track Luther Vandross retrospective, dubbed "The Ultimate Luther Vandross," is due in stores Aug. 22, according to J Records.
Included on the set are two previously unreleased tracks by the late R&B crooner. The first, titled "Shine," was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and will serve as the album's lead single; the second new cut is titled "Got You Home."
Vandross died in July 2005, more than two years after he suffered a serious stroke.
Cake , Violent Femmes , Decemberists, Derby and The Days are set to appear at Pet Aid 2006, at the Oregon State Fair in Salem. Proceeds from the show, presented by Portland radio station KNRK (94.7 FM), will be earmarked for a building fund for Portland's non-profit Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital and the Oregon Humane Society's "Second Chance" pet adoption program.
Primal Scream 's new album, which recently hit stores in the group's native UK, will be issued Aug. 22 in North America.
The US version of the set, titled "Riot City Blues," will feature bonus tracks, according to a Columbia Records press release.
