The song was used extensively throughout the fifth season of the Fox-TV talent competition "American Idol."

Tom Petty [ tickets ]'s entire forthcoming album, "Highway Companion," is currently streaming at Rhapsody.

The veteran rocker will perform his new single, "Saving Grace," on Thursday night's (7/20) episode of NBC-TV's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

A Sept. 19 release date has been set for Ben Kweller [ tickets ]'s third solo album. Gil Norton (Pixies) produced the set, which follows 2004's "On My Way."
