Brad Paisley lays out remaining 2006 tour plans

Brad Paisley has rolled out the final batch of shows for his "Time Well Wasted 2006" tour, which will keep him on the road until just before year's end.

Paisley's itinerary now includes an infusion of new September dates, as well as a late-fall stretch that kicks off in mid-October and runs into early December. The new shows will feature "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood in the opening slot; Eric Church is opening the tour's in-progress summer leg. Details are included below.

Paisley continues to support last year's "Time Well Wasted," which sold about 193,000 copies during its first week in stores, marking the most albums Paisley has ever sold during a one-week period. The strong first-week performance landed the disc in the top slot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, and at No. 2 on The Billboard 200.

"The World," Paisley's latest single, is spending its third consecutive week in the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

Underwood is backing her debut set, "Some Hearts," which is certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry of America for US shipment of 3 million copies. The feat marks the fastest such certification for a female country debut in RIAA history, according to a press release. Spurring sales of the set have been the hit singles "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Don't Forget to Remember Me."

In May, Paisley scored ACM Awards for "Time Well Wasted," which was named Album of the Year, and "When I Get Where I'm Going" (featuring Dolly Parton), which was took Vocal Event of the Year and Video Event of the Year. Underwood, meanwhile, picked up wins for Best New Female Vocalist and Single Record of the Year ("Jesus, Take the Wheel").
