Cheetah Girls race through the US this fall
Walt Disney Records trio The Cheetah Girls will mount a 40-city tour this fall that will take the multi-platinum act through US arenas and theaters from coast to coast.
The outing gets underway Sept. 15 in Seattle and winds its way around the country for two months. Details are shown below.
Supporting The Cheetah Girls during the run will be Miley Cyrus, star of the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," who will appear on the tour from Sept. 15 through October 15; and Vanessa Anne Hudgens of the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical," who will take over from Oct. 17 through Nov. 15.
The Cheetah Girls--Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams--first turned up in the 2003 Disney Channel Original Movie based on a best-selling children's-book series of the same name, and made their recorded debut on that film's companion soundtrack. The trio inked a record deal with Disney last year, the first fruit of which was the holiday album "Cheetah-licious Christmas."
On Aug. 15, Disney issues "Cheetah Girls 2," the soundtrack to the film's forthcoming sequel, which makes its debut on the Disney Channel next month. More information about the film is available at Disney's website.
Cyrus turns up on the upcoming "Hannah Montana" soundtrack, which hits stores Oct. 24 on Walt Disney Records, and plans to release her debut solo set in 2007 on Hollywood Records, according to a press release.
Hudgens, who appears on the multi-platinum "High School Musical" soundtrack, has also inked a deal with Hollywood Records, which plans to issue her debut CD, titled "V," Sept. 26.
