Avenged Sevenfold gets busy after Ozzfest
Currently on the road as part of Ozzfest XI's mainstage roster, rockers Avenged Sevenfold plan to go it alone during a September run through Canada and the Northern Plains region.
Following the Aug. 9 Ozzfest finale, and a subsequent run through Japan and Australia, Avenged Sevenfold will return to the states for a Sept. 7 concert in Alaska. A half-dozen Canadian and three US shows follow before the end of that month.
The North American itinerary is included below, and details about the Japanese and Australian outings are posted at the band's website.
Avenged Sevenfold continues to back its major-label debut, last year's "City of Evil." The disc has spawned the hit single "Bat Country," as well as follow-up cut "Seize the Day." The music video for the latter track, which debuted last month, was directed by Wayne Isham, whose resume includes videos for Metallica, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears, Dave Matthews Band, Faith Hill and more.
"It was a f---ing amazing experience working with Wayne Isham who made sure every frame of this video was perfect," the band wrote in a blog entry posted at its MySpace.com website, which features a streaming version of the clip.
On Monday (7/31), during an off-day between Ozzfest shows in Connecticut and Massachusetts, Avenged Sevenfold will appear as the featured guests on Fuse-TV's "Daily Download" program. The show is scheduled to tape at the Independence Mall in Kingston, MA, and will air in late August, according to a MySpace blog entry that the group posted today (7/28).
"We've made sure this event is open to all our fans," the group wrote, "so get your a--es out there and hang with us in Massachusetts."
