Justin Timberlake shows 'SexyBack' on club tour
Justin Timberlake 's new album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," doesn't land in stores until mid-September, but the pop-singer isn't waiting until then to hit the road.
Timberlake has lined up a brief run on the US club circuit this month--dubbed the "SexyBack ClubTour"--that begins with an Aug. 10 show at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, and is currently scheduled to hit seven cities, including an Aug. 26 finale in Boston.
Tickets for four of the seven stops--all four of which are set at House of Blues clubs, three in California and one in Las Vegas--quietly went on sale last Friday (7/28), while those for a late-August show at the Chicago House of Blues are on sale as of today (8/4).
Tomorrow (8/5), tickets are scheduled to hit the box office for the tour's Atlanta and Boston stops. Details are included in the itinerary below.
"FutureSex/LoveSounds," Timberlake's sophomore solo album, is due out Sept. 12. The set features the upcoming tour's namesake single, "SexyBack," which Timberlake co-wrote and co-produced with Timbaland (Jay-Z, Ludacris, Nelly Furtado) and Nate Hills. The song and its music video are both streaming at Timberlake's website.
Other producers who had a hand in the new set include JAWBreakers (Timberlake with Will.I.Am of Black Eyed Peas) and Rick Rubin.
"FutureSex/LoveSounds" is the follow-up to 2002's "Justified," which has sold more than 7 million copies worldwide, according to Jive.
'NSync, the boy-band Timberlake rode to fame beginning in the late '90s, has been almost entirely inactive in recent years.
