Surviving Beatles Collaborate On New Band History

The surviving Beatles have completed a book that is being billed as the definitive account of the band's career, according to Great Britain's Sunday Telegraph. " The Beatles Anthology" reportedly will be released this fall and will cost around $80.

The book is said to include previously unpublished photographs of the Beatles, as well as new details about the group's break-up, which reportedly was instigated by John Lennon months before Paul McCartney made it public in April 1970.

The book's profits reportedly will be split equally among Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, even though Ono did not take an active part in the book's compilation.
