Ratdog rolls out more fall dates
Though a month-long break from touring is just around the corner for Bob Weir's Ratdog , the Grateful Dead spin-off group continues to expand the itinerary for a fall tour that gets underway in October.
Among the newly announced shows on the band's schedule are several stops in the Northeast, which come in addition to many previously announced shows in the Midwest and South.
All dates currently on Ratdog's itinerary, shown below, are headlining shows at theaters and clubs. Earlier this year, the group co-headlined several dates with fellow jam band The String Cheese Incident.
Weir formed Ratdog in 1995 with bassist Rob Wasserman, who is no longer involved with the group. The band unexpectedly became Weir's primary musical vehicle following the death of Grateful Dead co-founder Jerry Garcia in 1995.
Though Ratdog has always been a strong draw on the concert circuit, the group's only studio album is "Evening Moods," released by Arista Records in 2000.
Joining Weir in Ratdog's current lineup are drummer Jay Layne, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, guitarist Mark Karan, saxophonist Kenny Brooks and bassist Robin Sylvester.
