Briefly: Ludacris, Danity Kane, OutKast, Dinosaur Jr.
"Music is therapeutic," Ludacris said in a press release. "When I say 'Release Therapy,' I just mean in what I do and speaking out. It is my release therapy, music, period. Every album I get more and more personal, start talking about issues that people would be surprised about or maybe didn't think I would say. I'm about to release."
Danity Kane , the winners of 2005's MTV "Making the Band 3" reality show, debut atop the new Billboard 200 album chart with their self-titled debut, selling 234,000 copies in the US.
With about 196,000 copies sold, OutKast 's "Idlewild" claims the No. 2 position in its debut week. During its second week out, Christina Aguilera's "Back to Basics" falls from No. 1 to No. 3.
Mexican rockers Mana enter the chart at No. 4 with "Amar Es Combatir," while "The Cheetah Girls 2" soundtrack rounds out the Top 5.
Dinosaur Jr. 's gear was stolen Tuesday (8/26) from their trailer, which was parked outside their Long Island, NY, hotel.
Among the stolen items were five guitars--including three vintage Fender Jazzmasters--two basses, cymbals, and a custom guitar-effects pedal board.
"The band humbly requests that their music industry friends and colleagues help spread the word and keep their eyes out for the stolen gear," said a statement issued by the band's publicist. "They ask that you contact their management at (303) 998-0001 with any information."
