Slightly Stoopid, Pepper head up Jager tour

This year's edition of the Jagermeister Music tour will travel the club circuit this fall with fellow dub-rockers Slightly Stoopid and Pepper heading up the bill.

The outing is scheduled to open Oct. 19 in Anaheim, CA. In each market, the lineup will be fleshed out by groups associated with Jagermeister. The liquor-maker "now has an arsenal of over 200 sponsored bands from coast to coast," according to a press release.

The full itinerary is shown below. More information will be posted at the event's website.

"We are looking forward to touring with Pepper again," said Miles Doughty, one of Slightly Stoopid's frontmen, in a press release. "It is usually one big party when the two bands get together, and it is definitely the best tour for fans."

Slightly Stoopid, based in the San Diego area, has sold more than 200,000 albums to date on their own independent label, Stoopid Records. Besides headlining on the club circuit, the group has opened for acts including the Dave Matthews Band, Sublime, The Roots and Blink-182.

Kona, HI's Pepper--which formed in 1996 and slowly built a loyal following over the years--will release its debut album, "No Shame," on Oct. 3.

Past Jagermeister tours have had a hard-rock bent. Disturbed headlined last year's edition of the tour, and other tour alumni include Staind, Slayer, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Saliva, hed P.E., Drowning Pool and Ill Nino.
