Lyle Lovett maps 2007 tour with Clark, Ely and Hiatt

Lyle Lovett has booked another round of shows with Guy Clark , Joe Ely and John Hiatt , a stretch of dates for the alt-country supergroup that stretches well into 2007.

Lovett--who first teamed up for a tour with the three other musicians in 2003 and has hit the road with them several times since--is currently polishing off some fall/winter dates with his Large Band before undertaking the foursome's outing after the first of next year.

Lovett and the Large Band will play a show Wednesday (9/13) in Knoxville, TN, continuing a run of early September shows. The singer/songwriter will also handle a two-night engagement beginning Nov. 9 in Ft. Worth, TX, with the Lyle Lovett Acoustic Trio, an ongoing concern that last hit the road in January.

The Lovett/Clark/Ely/Hiatt shows begin Jan. 14 in Indianapolis, with an itinerary currently set to run well into March of next year.

Lovett hasn't issued an album of new studio material since 2003's "My Baby Don't Tolerate," which is his inaugural effort for Lost Highway Records.

Hiatt's latest studio release is 2005's "Master of Disaster." Later that year, he issued a concert CD and separate DVD titled "Live from Austin," which captures Hiatt's 1993 performance for PBS's "Austin City Limits" concert series.

Ely's most recent collection of new material is 2003's "Streets of Sin." "Settle for Love," a compilation of previously released works culled from 1987's "Lord of the Highway" and 1988's "Dig All Night," surfaced in 2004.

Clark's latest, meanwhile, is 2002's "The Dark," which houses a dozen original tracks. His new studio album, "Workbench Songs," is set to hit stores Sept. 19.
