Briefly: Willie Nelson, Jay-Z, The Knack, Run-D.M.C., Shadows Fall

Country legend Willie Nelson and four other people aboard his tour bus reportedly received misdemeanor citations for possession of marijuana and mushrooms after the bus was pulled over by a Louisiana State Police officer near Breaux Bridge.

The truck was pulled over Monday morning (9/18) for a commercial vehicle inspection, and a state trooper entering the vehicle said he immediately smelled marijuana, Lafayette, LA's The Daily Advertiser reported. Police said a search of the bus turned up one and a half pounds of marijuana and two-tenths of a pound of mushrooms.

Though the quantity of drugs confiscated was enough to warrant a felony charge of distribution, all five people on the bus, including Nelson, reportedly claimed ownership of the illegal substances.

The Knack 's Doug Fieger and Berton Averre, who wrote the No. 1, 1979 single "My Sharona," reportedly have filed a copyright infringement suit against Run-D.M.C. for using a sample from the song as the basis for their 1986 track "It's Tricky."

The lawsuit, which claims unspecified damages and legal fees, as well as an ownership stake in "It's Tricky," claims that Fieger and Averry never heard the Run-D.M.C. song before 2005.
