Agreement ends Supernova name dispute

In the wake of a recent court order that barred it from using the name Supernova, the band that was recently staffed with a vocalist via the CBS-TV talent/reality show "Rock Star: Supernova" has a new moniker.
Under a settlement the band and the TV show producers reached with a Southern California group that was already using the Supernova name, the new band--featuring Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke and new vocalist Lukas Rossi--will now be known as Rock Star Supernova .
The band has already updated its official website to reflect the new name.
In other news, the first two tracks from Rock Star Supernova--"It's All Love" and "Be Yourself & 5 Other Cliches"--have been recorded, and are streaming at the band's official site and its MySpace page. The group's debut album, which is being recorded with producer Butch Walker, is due in stores Nov. 21.
The band will make its live debut with a two-night stand in Las Vegas that opens on New Year's Eve, and will be followed by a 28-city tour that launches in mid-January.
