Trail of Dead travel the club circuit
Texas alt-rockers ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead will launch a headlining tour in late October to support their new album, "So Divided."
The tour kicks off Oct. 27 in Denver, with 41 appearances currently slated through the middle of December. Blood Brothers , Celebration and Brothers & Sisters will provide support on the trek.
"So Divided," the band's follow-up to 2005's "Worlds Apart," and its third release for the Interscope label in four years, is scheduled to hit stores Nov. 14. The set includes guest appearances from King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto and singer/pianist Amanda Palmer, one half of The Dresden Dolls.
In a recent interview with Billboard.com, the band's lead singer, Conrad Keely, expressed his disappointment with the reception received by "Worlds Apart," which sold less than half the number of copies of the band's previous album, "Source Tags and Codes."
"I put everything I had into that record, and recording it was a miserable ordeal," Keely told the website. "After its reception I was pretty much ready to retire from music and find another career, convinced that I wanted nothing more to do with making music for anyone.
"But when we started this new album, which was meant to be an EP, I had a different attitude. Mainly, I tried not to care at all, and approach it with a more 'I don't give a f---' outlook."
