Enrique Iglesias books shows 'For the Fans'
Enrique Iglesias fans in a handful of US cities will have a chance to hear the pop singer unveil material from his new album--which isn't due out until next year--during a brief outing dubbed "For the Fans - Exclusive Club Tour."
The five-date jaunt launches Nov. 30 in New York City and will then make early December stops in Atlantic City, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles. Details are included below.
Ticket on-sale information hasn't been announced, but organizers said in a press release that the run-up to the tour will include "multiple promotions including giving fans the chance to meet Enrique as well as fan-only ticket presales." A message at Iglesias' website encourages fans to register their email address with the site and to add Iglesias as a friend on their MySpace account in order to receive presale info.
"I'm amped to get back on the road and performing again," Iglesias said in a message posted Wednesday (10/11) at his MySpace page. "[I'm] starting rehearsals for the dates soon in between studio sessions."
Iglesias is working on the follow-up to 2003's "7." The new set is due out next spring, according to Interscope Records. The singer has been recording the set in "studios around the world, from Sweden to Miami," and has been collaborating with a lengthy list of producers that includes John Shanks, Mark and Paul, Johnta Austin, Kristian Lundin, Rami Yacoub (a.k.a. Rami) & Arnthor Birgersson (a.k.a. Arnthor), Mark Taylor & Paul Barry, and Anders Bagge, the label said in a press release.
While some US fans will see Iglesias on stage during the upcoming tour, overseas fans will have to wait until next year, according to the singer's latest MySpace post.
"I've noticed a lot of my fans from overseas asking when I'll be back in the UK, Germany etc.," he wrote. "I can't even get started on describing how much I'm dying to go back on a world tour. We are setting up the album release and we will be planning on coming there once the album is out. I hope to see you all soon."
