Alt-metalists Incubus [ tickets ] have mapped out an early 2007 headlining tour behind the Nov. 28 release of their sixth studio album, "Light Grenades."

The band will kick off its trek north of the border, with a Jan. 5 show in Vancouver. The 25-city trek will visit major metropolitan areas throughout North America, finishing in early February.

Fans who pre-order copies of the group's new album will be eligible to receive two tickets to upcoming shows through a special online pre-sale. More information if available on the band's website. In addition to the 2007 shows, the band is making a limited number of free tickets available for an Oct. 20 "secret" show in San Francisco through a drawing. The entry form is also located at the band's site.

The band will play mostly smaller theaters during its early year run, a decision that was intentional on the group's part, guitarist Mike Einzinger recently told Billboard.com.

"We haven't played theaters in a very, very long time," Einzinger told the website, "and we just decided it was a really good time in our career to kind of just step back. We were playing in these massive arenas for, like, the last five years, and it was fun, but it just seems like it needs to be small again, and special for us."

"Light Grenades," which follows 2004's "A Crow Left of the Murder," was produced by Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Korn). "Anna Molly," the first single from the new album, is currently streaming at the band's website.
