Smile Empty Soul fills tour schedule
The group, which kicked off the outing last week, is hitting clubs throughout the US, and stops are booked in more than two-dozen cities. The itinerary, which stretches into early December, is included below.
On Tuesday (10/24), SES released "Vultures," its inaugural set for Beiler Bros. Records. The disc follows the group's self-titled, 2003 debut, which was released on Lava Records.
During the interim between the two aforementioned albums, the group recorded a disc titled "Anxiety," which was to be its second collection for Lava. A subsequent falling-out with that label led to the group self-releasing a limited number of burned copies of the set in late 2005. The band inked its deal with Bieler Bros. in July.
In addition to changing labels, SES has also tweaked its lineup, with drummer Dominic Weir replacing original member Derek Gledhill, then getting replaced himself by current drummer Jake Kilmer. Originally a trio, the group has since recruited former Cold member Mike Booth to be its second guitarist.
"Vultures" features the lead-off single "The Hit," which is streaming at SES's MySpace page.
