Buckcherry goes gold, adds dates
With their latest release recently scoring gold album status and a non-stop tour schedule that continues to grow, the whole comeback phenomenon seems to be working out brilliantly for rockers Buckcherry .
The band has added a handful of dates to this month's schedule (many continuing a co-headline stint with Crossfade ) and, according to its MySpace page, more shows will be announced through January. Guitarist Keith Nelson recently told TheShowBuzz.com there is "no end in sight as far as touring goes."
The band is riding on the success of its April release, "15," and the single "Crazy Bitch," which bolted to the top of rock charts and has become the No. 1 most downloaded rock ring tone, according to a press release. That song, and the current single, "Next 2 You," is streaming at Buckcherry's MySpace page.
The group is back after a lengthy hiatus that followed its previous full-length release, 2001's "Time Bomb." Nelson has said that business and personality conflicts caused the temporary break, and that he and lead singer Josh Todd eventually renewed their friendship and their music relationship--both which have a chemistry that's hard to come by.
They'll spend the next month taking that chemistry to the concert stage in the Eastern US.
