'NOW 23' dominates album chart

"NOW That's What I Call Music! Vol. 23," the latest installment in the popular hit-compilation series, is the No. 1-selling album in the US this week, marking the 10th "NOW" release to top the chart.

"NOW 23" sold 337,000 copies during its first week in stores, easily outdistancing its closest competitor, Josh Groban 's "Awake," which sold 270,000 copies to enter The Billboard 200 chart at No. 2. Billboard bases its album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail-sales reports.

Rehabbing country star Keith Urban enters the chart at No. 3 with his latest offering, "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing," which had sales marks nearly identical to Groban's.

Country group Sugarland debuts at No. 4 on the chart with "Enjoy the Ride," which sold 211,000 copies, according to Billboard. The "Hannah Montana" soundtrack, which logged two weeks at No. 1, falls to No. 5 this week with 131,000 copies sold.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Jim Jones ' "Hustler's P.O.M.E."; Birdman and Lil Wayne's "Like Father, Like Son"; Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts"; Justin Timberlake 's "FutureSex/LoveSounds"; and the Dave Matthews Band's "Best of What's Around: Vol. 01."
