Moe. gets behind 'The Conch'
Jam-band moe. is getting ready for the January release of its seventh studio album, "The Conch," booking new dates beginning with three Colorado shows in late January.
Other winter dates are already underway, and the band says there are more to come. Tour details are below.
Before the album drops, moe. will spend some quality time with fans on the Norwegian Jewel cruise ship. The Jan. 7-14 music cruise--the band's second--will take off out of Miami and visit San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. John's, Antigua; St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.
The indie-jam rockers are known for their touring ethic and their annual festivals that draw hardcore fans from all over. They'll return to Lake Placid, NY, in March for Snoe.down III, a weekend winter music fest that features a host of bands and activities including ice skating, bobsled and luge rocket rides, gondola rides, toboggan rides, dog sled rides and tubing, according to the band's website.
Every Labor Day weekend, moe. hosts its annual moe.down at the Ski Area in Turin, NY. That three-day fest, started in 2000, draws a wide variety of acts from up-and-comers to big-name jammers like Blues Traveler, Les Claypool and Mike Gordon of Phish.
This year, moe. released a live DVD featuring music from its April 2005 show at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver.
