Trace Adkins Crushes Two Fingers In Accident

Country artist Trace Adkins seriously injured the middle and index fingers of his left hand in an accident on his rural Tennessee property, according to Capitol Records Nashville. Though he will not be able to play the guitar until the fractures and cuts to his fingers heal, his tour will go on as planned.
According to a statement issued by his label, Adkins was using a front-end loader and a trailer to move some rocks in order to ease an erosion problem on his property on Wednesday night (4/5) when a 400-pound boulder was dislodged. The boulder rolled over Adkins' hand, crushing the ends of his middle and index fingers.
Adkins drove himself to the emergency room, where he required 30 stitches. His doctor said that the prognosis is good for a full recovery in six to eight weeks.
Adkins is next scheduled to perform live on April 14 in Burgettstown, Penn. He has a heavy spring and summer tour schedule that is dominated by fairgrounds appearances. He is supporting his third album, "More..."
