Barenaked Ladies join holiday shows
The mid-December performances are set to take place in Buffalo, NY; Hartford, CT; Norfolk, VA; and Charlotte, NC. Over the course of the run, BNL will share the stage with Goo Goo Dolls, Smash Mouth, Guster, KT Tunstall and former Sixpence None the Richer singer Leigh Nash. Specific details are outlined in the itinerary below.
The group will then take some time off before tackling an 18-date February tour through its native Canada.
Sandwiched between the US and Canadian outings is a mid-January stint aboard a Carnival cruise-ship excursion. Dubbed Ships and Dip, the five-day journey--which sets sail from, and returns to, Fort Lauderdale, FL--will feature "intimate solo shows to jam sessions to a rollicking karaoke party with BNL," according to the Ships and Dip website. Joining BNL on board the ship will be Guster, Brothers Creeggan (featuring BNL bassist Jim Creeggan), Thinbuckle (featuring BNL multi-instrumentalist Kevin Hearn) and others.
BNL are Mania TV's Artist of the Day today (12/1). Interviews will be featured at Mania TV's website at 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. EST. On Saturday (12/2) Barenaked Ladies will be featured on NPR's Weekend Edition. Those who can't catch the interview live can subsequently listen to a recorded version at NPR's website.
