Vince Gill slots in new dates for 2007
Fresh off a lengthy tour supporting his mammoth new four-disc album, "These Days," country star Vince Gill has added a few dates to his menu for January and beyond.
The singer, who launches a three-night engagament at the Las Vegas Hilton Thursday (12/7), has a scattered itinerary beyond 2006, with piecemeal dates kicking off Jan. 5 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and continuing into early spring
On Oct. 17, Gill issued "These Days," his first new collection since 2003's "The Next Big Thing." The album comprises 43 songs, all of which Gill wrote or co-wrote, according to a press release. The singer also co-produced the set with the help of keyboardist John Hobbs and sound engineer Justin Niebank.
"These Days" features more than 20 guest performers, including Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Diana Krall, Rodney Crowell, Phil Everly, the Del McCoury Band, Emmylou Harris, John Anderson, Lee Ann Womack, Amy Grant, LeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson, Guy Clark, Trisha Yearwood, Bekka Bramlett, Michael McDonald and steel-guitar virtuoso Buddy Emmons.
Gill's new album features the lead-off single "The Reason Why," which is streaming at his website.
