Reuters reports that a new album from The Cure is expected to reach stores in May. Frontman Robert Smith, 47, reportedly hoped to have the album out sooner, but he's having trouble coming up with lyrics for some of the 33 new songs that have been recorded.

"I want [the words] to mean something, it's not enough that they rhyme," Smith reportedly said. "I find myself stopping short and thinking I've done this before, and better. I've given myself a deadline to finish the words before Christmas. If I don't I should be shot."

Sebastian is best known for hits he recorded with The Lovin' Spoonful, including "Summer in the City" and "Do You Believe in Magic." His biggest hit as a solo artist was the theme to the sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter."
