Plain White T's make every second count on tour

Pop-rock buzz band Plain White T's is hitting the road next year to support its latest album, "Every Second Counts," with nearly 50 dates all over the US.

The tour kicks off March 4 in Green Bay, WI, and makes its grand finale May 2 in the band's hometown of Chicago. Dates are listed below.

Boys Night Out and Lovedrug will hold down the opening slots for the entire run of dates, with Mayday Parade joining in on the first three weeks, and Dear and the Headlights taking over from there.

Plain White T's have also been invited to play the May 5-6 Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ.

Before all the US shows, the band will head across the Pond for a UK tour with Hellogoodbye, the dates for which are listed on Plain White T's website. The band's MySpace page also lists dates in Germany and Austria.

PWT's recently wrapped the Nintendo Fusion Tour with Hawthorne Heights and also opened for Panic! At the Disco, including two nights at NYC's Madison Square Garden, according to a press release.

"Every Second Counts" hit the streets in September and spawned the radio hit "Hate (I Really Don't Like You)," which is streaming at Plain White T's website. The album is the band's major-label debut on Hollywood Records.

PWT's have been around for nearly a decade but the band is just getting a heap of "emerging artist" attention from places like MTV following years of relentless touring.

"Things are moving faster than expected and we are proceeding with caution," singer Tom Higgenson said in a bio at PWT's MySpace page. "But we're not going to change. Whether we're playing a small club or an arena, we're gonna sweat the same. And if it gets really big, maybe we can finally have a light show!"
