Good Charlotte has new album, tour on the way
The boys of Good Charlotte are getting ready to release a new album March 20, after which they expect to launch a world tour.
"Good Morning Revival" will be the rockers' forth studio album. It reunites Good Charlotte with Don Gilmore, who produced the band's self-titled debut in 2000.
An upcoming single, "The River," marks the first time Good Charlotte has officially collaborated with another artist on an album, according to a press release. The band's longtime friends M. Shadows and Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold appear on the song, which is scheduled to hit radio in January.
"This wasn't planned, but it ended up working out," vocalist Joel Madden said in a statement. "We were sitting around listening to some new music and they liked that song so we asked them to jump on. It felt right and sounded really cool."
Another new song, "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl," is currently streaming at Good Charlotte's website and MySpace page.
"Good Morning Revival" is the followup to 2004's platinum-selling "Chronicles of Life and Death."
For fans looking for more immediate gratification, Good Charlotte will release a new DVD Dec. 26. "Fast Future Generation" is a documentary filmed during the band's tour of Japan last fall and comprises live performances, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, according to the group's website.
