Warped Tour With Green Day Gears Up For June Launch

The Vans Warped Tour--sporting a lineup topped by Green Day , NOFX and Mighty Mighty Bosstones--is gearing up for a June 24 launch in Phoenix. The outing, which is scheduled to run through early August, will play its typical menu of non-traditional venues, which include the parking lots of several major arenas.
Long Beach Dub Allstars, MxPx , Millencolin, Jurassic 5, Snapcase, Hot Water Music, Suicide Machines, and T.S.O.L. fill out the bill for the tour, which has taken place annually since 1995. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Saturday (4/1) for the tour's stops in Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. Other on-sale dates couldn't be immediately confirmed.
Green Day won't be along for the tour's August swing through Texas because the band plans to embark on a tour of Japan at that time.
Warped organizers have scheduled a press event for Wednesday (3/29), where additional details about the tour--including additional ticket on-sale dates--will be unveiled.
