Briefly: James Brown, Justin Timberlake, Perry Farrell, Brian Wilson, Paul Stanley

The body of James Brown --who died on Christmas day last year--has not yet been buried, and instead is being kept at the late R&B/funk legend's home while lawyers and heirs hammer out burial details.

According to published reports, Brown's embalmed body was delivered to his Beech Island, SC, home on Dec. 30, and continues to lie in a sealed casket in a guarded, temperature-controlled room at the residence. Debra Opri, an attorney who reportedly represents the Brown family, told E! Online that Brown ultimately will be interred somewhere on the Beech Island estate, and that the estate itself will be transformed into museum.

Justin Timberlake and actress Cameron Diaz issued a joint statement today (1/11), in which the pair confirmed that they are no longer a couple.

"It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media," the statement reads. "We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another."
