Tool fixing to announce US dates

Tool is currently touring overseas, but the group will be working the road on its home turf beginning this spring.

A handful of dates currently are set to go on sale Saturday (1/27) through Ticketmaster, according to promoters. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company).

An official tour announcement is in the works and, once finalized, will be posted at Tool 's website, according to a band spokesperson. Confirmed dates are listed below.

The rockers are currently in Australia on the Big Day Out festival tour and will play several shows in Japan next month. Those dates can be found at Tool's website.

Since the May release of Tool's fourth studio album, "10,000 Days," the band has been touring relentlessly, playing all over the world. The group took a three-year hiatus from the road following its 2001 release, "Lateralus," with the members focusing on other projects.

Tool reemerged strong with "10,000 Days," once again debuting at the top of The Billboard 200 album chart.

The band is looking to nab another Grammy award this year as its song "Vicarious" is up for Best Hard Rock Performance.
