Robert Randolph revs up his Family Band for more gigs

Road warriors Robert Randolph and the Family Band will continue to push their latest album, "Colorblind," with a series of February and early March dates.

The jaunt kicks off Feb. 15 in Hartford, CT, and wraps up March 10 in San Diego. The itinerary includes a two-night stand at Boulder, CO's Fox Theatre; details are below.

Randolph and his band's song "Ain't Nothing Wrong With That" has gotten huge exposure of late via its use in commercials for AT&T and NBC, as well as the movie "Stomp the Yard." The group's label released the track as a single Jan. 22.

The song's new video, which will hit TV outlets soon, was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Noble Jones, known for his work with the Goo Goo Dolls and Donell Jones. It features the band performing live.

Randolph, in a recent interview with LiveDaily, explained why he thinks his band gaining commercial acceptance.

"People are really tired of the hype and being let down by something that's not good and not different. People are really grasping on us because we bring a touch of a certain energy and joyful vibe to the music scene. A lot of people just kind of forgot how to be true to themselves."

Robert Randolph and the Family Band performed recently at the NHL All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas.
