The Eagles [ tickets ] are poised to release their first album of new material in 28 years, according to group co-founder Don Henley, who reportedly spilled the beans last weekend during a private Las Vegas concert.

"It's coming out in 60 to 90 days, if we don't kill each other first," Henley told the audience at the MGM Grand Arena, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The singer/drummer also hinted at an upcoming Eagles tour with the remark, "I'll see you this summer."

The Eagles have not issued a new studio set since 1979's "The Long Run."

Southern-rock outfit Kings of Leon [ tickets ] will offer up its third album, "Because of the Times," April 3. The forthcoming set follows 2004's "Aha Shake Heartbreak."

"On Call," the first single from "Because of the Times," will be available from the iTunes Music Store beginning Feb. 6, and will hit radio stations Feb. 12, according to a press release.

Fans of jam-band veterans Gov't Mule [ tickets ] have downloaded nearly 1 million audio files from the group's MuleTracks.com website, and the group plans to mark the milestone by giving the fan who downloads the 1 millionth track a free download of every 2007 Gov't Mule concert, according to a press release.

Gov't Mule launched MuleTracks.com in 2004, in partnership with Musictoday, as a digital-download service where fans can download the group's concerts within a few days after each show takes place.

In related news, Gov't Mule has released "A Million Miles from Yesterday," the latest single from last year's "High & Mighty," and will soon release a music video for the cut. The clip will be the group's first-ever video, according to the band's publicist.

Country singer Trace Adkins [ tickets ] will appear in the Feb. 18 episode of the ABC reality show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," which will include clips of Adkins performing at a recent benefit concert in Austin, TX. A portion of the proceeds from the concert were used to pay off the mortgage of a local couple, five of whose six children have been diagnosed with varying degrees of autism, according to a press release.

Toni Braxton [ tickets ], who announced Monday (1/29) that she was filing a $10 million federal lawsuit against her former manager, Barry Hankerson, for fraud and breach of contract, has since withdrawn the suit. E Online reports that Braxton has since re-filed the suit in a New York State court.
