John Legend 'Once Again' on the road
The singer will kick off his trek April 3 in Irvine, CA, and cover 22 cities in just over a month, ending with a May 5 slot at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Details are included below.
Grammy-nominated singer Corinne Bailey Rae will accompany the tour as Legend's special guest. Pre-sale tickets to the upcoming shows are available through Legend's members-only fan-club site.
"Once Again," released last October, entered The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 3, selling more than 231,000 copies during its first week on store shelves, according to Legend's publicist. The album peaked at No. 1 on the R&B Album chart and earned Legend two Grammy nominations: Best Male Pop Vocal Performance (for "Save Room") and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance (for "Heaven").
Legend has already won three Grammy awards from his 2004 debut album, "Get Lifted," which has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, according to a press release.
British newcomer Rae is currently up for three Grammys for her 2006 self-titled debut album: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
