Sevendust stacks up spring shows behind 'Alpha'
Sevendust , who last week kicked off a US run that supports the band's soon-to-be-released sixth album, "Alpha," has piled up a slew of shows that will keep the group on the road well into spring.
New to the band's schedule are March and April stops in about 30 cities spread out from coast to coast. Details are included below.
Tickets for most shows are on sale now, and the band has teamed up with Ticketmaster to offer a limited number of premium ticket packages that will include a copy of "Alpha" and a post-show meet-and-greet with the group. Details are available at Ticketmaster's website. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.)
Sandwiched in the midst of Sevendust 's tour is the March 6 release of "Alpha," which follows 2005's "Next." "Next" turned out to be the group's first and last set on the Winedark Records label. The band signed with Winedark and created its own imprint, 7Bros. Records, after severing ties with longtime label TVT Records in 2004. Sevendust has retained ownership of 7Bros., and recently announced a partnership with Asylum Records, a Warner Music Group company.
In addition to previewing material from "Alpha" at shows leading up to the album's release, the band will also give fans an early listen to the set during a Feb. 26 appearance on the syndicated radio program "Rockline," according to the group's website.
