Jet cleared for landing, spring US tour announced

Australian rockers Jet offer up another round of US dates this spring as the band continues to support its latest set, last October's "Shine On."

This will be the group's second pass through the country since it was forced to cancel a number of shows last September in the wake of singer Nic Cester's acute laryngitis. The band made up those cancellations with a brief North American run in late November and early December.

Jet's upcoming headlining swing will kick off March 24 in Homestead, FL, and cover 25 cities, with the group entertaining US fans through a May 1 date in Kansas City.

Some of the new dates are currently on sale, while others go public later this month. A full rundown on ticket availability for the shows can be found at the band's official website.

"Shine On," which hit stores October 3, is the follow-up to Jet's platinum-certified 2003 debut, "Get Born." The video for the new album's title cut, "Shine On," is currently streaming at the band's website.
