The Artist To Open Paisley Park Studios For Weeklong Festival

The Artist Formerly Known as Prince will open his Paisley Park Studios to the public during a seven-day festival named Prince: A Celebration. The event is scheduled to take place June 7-13, and will conclude with a performance by the Artist at Northrup Auditorium in Minneapolis.

Attendees can tour the entire facility, including the Artist's recording studios and his personal office. According to a press release issued by Paisley Park, a "hall of fame" displays awards and trophies from his career, and the "Purple Time Tunnel" is billed as a "funky trip down memory lane."

The tour will end at Paisley Park's soundstage, where parts of many of the Artist's videos and films were shot. Set pieces including the motorcycle from the Prince film "Purple Rain" will be on display. At an interactive exhibition, fans can vote for songs that will appear on future albums.

"Dancetildawn" parties featuring surprise musical guests, costume contests and showings of vintage concert footage will take place at the studio each night during the festival.

Advance tickets for all events go on sale May 13. More information is available at Paisley Park's marketing website.
