Rock icons The Steve Miller Band [ tickets ] have laid out dates for a long and varied run through most of the coming year, with a number of summer festivals and a pair of co-headlining shows with The Doobie Brothers on the docket.

The group will tackle a scattered schedule across most of the year, with most dates coming in late spring and early summer. The band's touring season gets its official start Friday (3/9) when Miller and his bandmates tackle a show in Las Vegas. The itinerary is included below.

The Steve Miller Band's most recent release is 2003's "Young Hearts--Complete Greatest Hits." The set, which traces the group's 35-year affiliation with Capitol Records, includes the No. 1 singles "The Joker," "Rockin' Me" and "Abracadabra," as well as hits such as "Take the Money and Run," "Space Cowboy," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Jungle Love," "Jet Airliner" and "Livin' in the USA."

Last year saw the re-release of Miller's legendary 1976 album "Fly Like an Eagle" in a special dual CD/DVD 30th Anniversary Edition. The set contains the original album, remastered and presented in 5.1 surround sound, along with a bonus DVD that includes live performances and interviews.

Miller and company haven't released a collection of new material since 1993's "Wide River."
